My Journey Through World Cinema

Hiii guys. Here goes the First Article of My blog. The main purpose of this Article is to tell u guys about my experience of watching foreign language movies. My aim is to create awareness for other language movies. In today’s world with the Internet everything is possible. Tats how my research on other language movies started. I used to watch only Action packed Hollywood movies or some Fantasy movies. Until my college second year I was a layman and didn’t know anything about World cinema. I have seen some foreign lang movies here and there.. If anyone would ask me which is your favorite language cinema immediately I would come out with an answer .FRENCH..yaaa I used to think that French movies are the best. But later in 2008 I started to slowly explore..Started googling around..My first foreign lang movie which I saw was the south Korean movie named “OLDBOY”…Many would have seen this movie..After watching this masterpiece I was totally into it..I became totally addicted to foreign language movies..I stopped watching Hollywood movie for a while..i used to download only other language movies…This Old boy movie was just a initiation..Later I had a chance of watching a Spanish movie named “THE SEA INSIDE”..I haven’t cried so far watching a movie..But this movie achieved it by making me to weep..From there no turning back..It’s been nearly a year and a half since I started to watch other language movies. And today I feel so good to have watched all those movies..U know How would I search a movie..I would go to Google and type “Best Spanish movies of all time”.. I used to get a result with which I used to search in imdb.com, read the reviews, then watch the trailer in You Tube, see the ratings of those movies in rottentomatoes.com and similar websites. Then finally I will arrive at a movie list to watch. My next job was to go to torrentfinder.com which the U.S government seized it recently for copyright issues. This was how I watched all those movies. I had a habit of watching at least a movie per day before going to sleep. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. But my policy is A movie a day keeps me active the next day..hehehe..

I even used to search movies that have won an academy award under the foreign language movie category. Explored various language- Spanish, German, French, Swedish, Italian, Turkish, Danish, Japanese, Zulu, Chinese, Hungarian, Finnish, Romanian, Arabic, Thai etc…I didn’t include one language in this. Tats South Korean which I am very much obsessed with and I will post about South Korean cinema in my other posts, because there are lots to tell u guys about South Korean cinema. It’s my favorite and im relishing watching their movies.

Now I will tell u guys what I went through when I started to watch all these language movies. First of all, I experienced something which I would say that I had a satisfaction of watching a perfect movie. Those movies will take u into their land, culture..Above all it stuns us with their mind-blowing script. When I saw this movie called Oldboy I was totally dumbstruck towards the ending. The only thought which came to my mind is “Can a Human create Movies like these…?”...Later I found the answer when I finished watching almost all the best movies in those foreign language categories. The answer is Yes.. We can..I even understood that there are no boundaries for Human mind and creativity.

Each and every movie was like a Lesson to me. I don’t know how to exactly explain that experience which I went through. I will be very excited before watching a movie and it will pull me into it..I will travel through the characters played in the movie, was able to feel the emotions portrayed by the characters, Tense moments, Romance at its best, Thrilling, and so on..The most astonishing thing for me was the Budget at which these movies are made. Generally Hollywood invests a lotttt into film making, But whereas in other language movies the scenario is totally different. With the best possible script for a Story they come out with a product which is marvelous. That factor impressed me a lot. There are many examples which I will post it as a separate article in my future posts..There are some unique qualities to all these movies which I would like to emphasize here.

Spanish movies are very dramatic, French movies are Romantic, Italian movies are Classier, German movies are socialistic. My favorite Spanish film maker is Pedro Almodovar who took Spanish movies to the Oscars..Each and every year the Oscar jury members will have a chance to assess his films. Similarly South Korean film makers are the best in the world to make thriller movies like Oldboy, memories of murder, Mother etc..They are also the Best in handling Romantic subjects like my sassy girl, the classic, Wind struck etc.

This blog will feature all kinds of Movie reviews, trailers, Music reviews, Filmy news etc..I will cover all kinds of Genres and will be exploring all languages that are ruling the world cinema. This blog is for u guys. I would like to conclude this article by saying that future posts will be covering various filmy stuffs and I will concentrate more on foreign language movies as there are many websites to review and post about our regional languages. But I wanted to do something different and I came up with the idea of this blog. The most important thing which I would like to convey to u guys is that if u want to watch any language movies.jus ping me..Tell me the genre and language or even the movie name.. I will send you the links to download the movie as I have a database with me. All those movies will come with an English subtitle. So don’t worry. Thanks a lot for reading this article guys. C ya soon in my next article. Do give comments..byeeeeeeee J J J J take care J J J

With regards,
