THRILLING...ISN’T IT??

Hii guys..Thanks a lot for your Support..My blog is nearing 100 page views..Keep reading..This article is to focus mainly on how various foreign language films exhibit Thriller Genre. At the End of the article I would be also posting my favorite thriller movies for which the links to download. it will be posted in my future movie review posts.Hope you will have a thrilling ride..Enjoyyyy..

It is a tough task to script a normal thriller story..Imagine how much difficult it would be to create an unusual thriller scripts. Tats what foreign language movies are up to. Edge of the seat experience I would say...But here I would like to emphasize generally. First scene they would show an open field, stagnant water, rain drops...we may think that y are those scenes necessary. But that is the scene where an important incident would have taken place. And from there the story moves further. The most important factor in a thriller movie is that it should engage us in the script which few movies have achieved it very easily like Oldboy , Memories of Murder, Revanche, Amores Perros etc..There are mainly three different types of thriller movies which I have come across. I will explain the types below and how they handle it.

 1. The first type is the most general one. Mostly deals with Murder or Serial Killer concepts. There would be one or more detectives who track down the defendant. The general idea to zero in a particular person is to investigate as many related to the victim. That is how generally Thrillers are treated. Now this is what distinguishes foreign films. Fine a murder takes place, investigation starts; this is where the brilliancy factor comes into the picture. What would happen is, there would be evidence generally at the crime scene and frm there the further investigation proceeds. But in foreign films, the evidence won’t be materialistic mostly.. The beauty is the investigation will proceed in a pace where u won’t be able to judge who the killer is. Tats where I find them very different. An one more technique which they use is by introducing many characters so that there would be ample scope to maintain the suspense..Finally after getting near the Murderer, there would be a twist which will make us to hold our breath for a second. 

     2. Second type is Mystery. Mystery thrillers are very common in foreign language films. The platform for this type is at the starting of the movie a girl or a guy will be leading a common life and suddenly there will be a plot point where everything around them becomes seems to be strange. While they are walking on the streets, they experience some strangeness and this is where the foreign films excel..The movie will move in such a way to camouflage it as a horror genre..But only at the end you will come to know that it is a perfect mystery. What will happen after the protagonist experiences is that he or she will be moving to their hometown or to a place where they had to..That is where the entire crew of the film would have halted for shooting..hehehe..it may be an Abandoned House, a small city outskirt.etc..But the way they utilize the location will be mind blowing..

3.   3. Third type is my favorite as I am working on a script on this stream. Its Psychological thrillers. There have been many successful movies based on this type. For example, A Tale of Two Sisters, El Aura, etc.. As the name implies the main character will experience some sort of pressure always. I can assure one thing guys...the script which I am working in will be something new to Indian Cinema and I also assure u that it was not lifted off from any foreign film. You will experience a new feel when u watch my film.

Thrillers if crafted well will have an impact on us even after viewing the movie. But if it is abrupt, then no one can help you. Tats y foreign films have worked well in this genre.

The most dominating Thriller films even today worldwide comes from the following countries.

1.       SOUTH KOREA.

2.       SPAIN.

The camera angles and shots..Wow it will be incredible. U can feel a work of an art in a particular scene. And the most important trick which they follow according to my analysis is they do not include many twists..i will explain how this works. If there are more twists in the plot then the impact at the end of the movie will be nothing as u would have been seasoned to experience twists in that movie..Instead what foreign film makers do is they build up a tension..Whatever type of Thriller it may be, the plot will be engaging as the twist which is revealed at the end has a greater impact on audiences. There are many movies which have followed this and yes, of course the ending or the climax will be outstanding and stunning.

           Guys , Thrillers are really cool and it would be thrilling only if we travel through the characters of the film and I can assure you that when u watch any Foreign language movie under Thriller Genre you will experience it which will be unforgettable at least for a few hours after watching the movie..
